Durable's Computer Cleaning Week® consumer press campaign kicked off last week with a great hit of radio interviews on regional stations across the UK. The company says newsrooms seized the opportunity to offer their listeners a lighter tone of news in a week where the severe weather and flooding had dominated the headlines.
Stewart Anderson, VP of marketing, Durable UK who took the role of 'grime guru' for the round of interviews says: "This has been an incredible start to the Computer Cleaning Week® campaign. Our intention this year was to raise an initial awareness in the run up to the week, to get people interested, to cause a buzz, get attract visitors to the website and to generate a bit of excitement. The Computer Cleaning Week® survey was filled with facts and figures defining the UK as a dirty desk nation. The interviews to date have given us the perfect opportunity to do this and our aim is to continue to garner interest across the UK over the coming weeks."
Some of the radio stations jumping on the Computer Cleaning Week® bandwagon so far include:- BBC Radio Humberside, SGR FM in Suffolk, BBC Three Counties Radio and BBC Radio Wiltshire.
Anderson says: "We were confident we had a good story to tell and the fact that we have succeeded in featuring on the news agenda on a week where the flooding crisis has peaked has proven this. We feel this year's campaign will go from strength to strength and look forward to continued success." co-operation
