DURABLE products are particularly eco-friendly thanks to their durability. The plastic materials we use are robust, have excellent recycling properties and can be disposed of together with normal refuse with no problem at all.
We have optimised energy-efficiency.
We have modified our production processes to minimise energy consumption. Waste heat generated in the manufacturing process, from compressors and cooling aggregates is either used to heat the building or is fed into energy recovery via heat exchange systems. Energy-saving lamps are used to illuminate the entire production facility.
Our dual recycling system:
Where possible, product design, cutting dies and cutting procedures are devised to create as little waste material
as possible. At DURABLE, plastic waste that cannot be avoided in the production process are recycled in-house and used again – for instance by blending them in with virgin materials. Other waste is sorted and then passed on to appropriate recycling companies.
External commitment to the environment.
Our commitment to keeping the environment intact is not restricted to the immediate vicinity of our company. In the interest of sustainability, DURABLE takes part in various initiatives supporting the WWF. A recent example of our external commitment to the environment is our support of a WWF project through an on-pack promotional campaign on our cleaning product range. Our commitment is not restricted to financial contributions either, voluntary work was undertaken by DURABLE staff in the reforestation of the Elbe Valley following recent flooding.
